Brian Reyes
The two to three weeks right before the show is always my favorite time of the year. For me, it's always been a burst of emotions and creativity. I think about & dissect absolutely every aspect ...... some of the most important include:

1 - - Copious amounts of Colombian Coffee
2 - - Color palettes - - balance between warm vs. cold
3 - - How the story unfolds - - opening, transitions, closing
4 - - Hair & Make-Up = Attitude
5 - - Sleep deprivation
6 - - Stalking my production team to ensure the lighting is just right
7 - - Managing stress with take out from just about every delivery
restaurant south of Canal street
8 - - Musical Transitions become very inspirational as the color story
unfolds throughout the show
9 - - TAILORING!
10 - - And new for this season is a fur compliment and a few new gowns - - so I'm having fun experimenting with drape and textureWorld traveller & luxury designer extraordinaire, Rebecca Moses prepares for her Fall 2010 collection showing in two weeks. What else is she thinking about...
Zang Toi
One of fashion's most endearing characters, Zang Toi, is preparing for his Fall 2010 show on Saturday, February 13th... it will be his 20th Anniversary in the business!
-Making sure everything is done, I can't do anything Last minute!
-I've been in this business 20 years!
-I love clothes more than ever!
-Gorgeous couture girls
-Its all in the Walk
-Prince
-Glamour, Glamour, Glamour

Loris Diran
Men's & Women's designer Loris Diran is preparing for his Fall 2010 Collection showing with a heavy mind. Here's a few of his thoughts...
1: 20's Silent screens icon, LOUISE BROOKS in a slinky evening gown in the film PANDORA.... This image comes to me throughout the collection
concept. I watch METROPOLIS alot as well...... Brilliant!
2: The clock..... We are extremely late, as we are perfecting,
re-perfecting, re-re-perfecting the asymmetric designs. Who knew a
simple sheath could be so complicated?
3: How to have Silent Film as my inspiration and avoid any vintage and
period costume references...... I want this to be relevant to today's
men and women.
4: The Bowery Hotel's upstairs Terrace floor is perfectly "Norma
Desmond" for this collection, but how will they light it to make it
perfect? This worries me greatly....
5: I can't get over how stunning the Pane Velvet burn out fabrics
are..... As are the laces.... Something familiar, but different.
Extremely luxe....
6: I'm executing extreme silhouettes in the Men's this season.
Slightly Avant Garde with a nod to Goth..... love it, but it all has
to have balance.... the evolution of the shapes has to make sense,as
well as balance with the women,s........ In a bit of a daze in all
this, but than I always am before a show.
7: Milano... I'm flying out to Italy the day after my show for Milano
Unica and to meet with Italy's textile Mills, as well as get ready to
present there soon...... It'll be good to get out of the flurry of
excitement and back to Europe so swiftly..... It'll inspire me no
doubt!
8: Hair and Make up!.... I met with Christo of CHRISTO 5TH AVENUE
about Hair and he has some ultra cool concepts..... I want something
young, but has a sense of Uma Thurman's tossled and crimped looked in "Henry and June"...... Wonder if that'll capture what we need.
9: My Boutique has had a GREAT Month! I think the economy (or at least
how people are viewing it) is changing for the better! I feel a sense
of optimism wafting around the city.
10: Haiti..... I cant stop thinking about what they're going
through... Very proud of how responsive the Fashion Community is to
their needs though.... God Bless them....
Moods of Norway
Stefan Dahlkvist, one of the design trio from Moods of Norway, is fresh off last week's Fashion Group International Rising Star Awards luncheon. Here's what he's thinking about as his new season is set to launch...

1-Just wrapping everything up from this last weekends blue moods of norway limo trip to the Sundance filmfestival.
2-Finishing the designs for ss2011, with the theme Norwegian fairytales.
3-Planning for our fashion show in Oslo the 19th of Feb.
4-Attending the Grammy styling suite (27-30th) where we will dress some of the grammy nominees this season.
5-Thinking about Grandma's waffles.
6-Trying to enjoy some fantastic Bikram yoga tomorrow morning.
7-Wondering if we can ever save the world through fashion.
8-I am missing my cat that was so hyper last night.
9- Want to see my fantastic girlfriend so I am leaving our studio soon…
10- Thinking about how good the key lime pie was at the FGI event last week.
Look for our next installment in August for the Spring 2011 Shows!
