Pastel Pallet
Mauve, Honeydew, Lavender, & Mint sound like a recipe for something light to eat on a summer’s day, but NO- not this year… Instead they represent some of the coolest color trends on the Fall 2010 runway. In a season typically known for its dark, deep colors some designers went against the grain & showed heavy fabrics like leather, wool & Angora in light – fresh pastels. And why not? Sometimes it’s nice to have something other than Black, Navy or Gray in this category of warmer wears.

FUR-ocious-
And speaking of winter warmth… these furs need no explanation. Dark oversized furs were all over the New York, Milan & Paris runways. At times engulfing models with their sheer enormity & providing the appearance of richness throughout the collections. Fur is always a Fall/Winter trend in the fashion arena, but this year it was all about deep blues & blacks. The dramatic additions can in a variety of sizes & lengths, but always remained the focal point of the given look.

Mohair Madness -
Mohair is durable, warm, insulating, & light; which is exactly why many designers use it as staple piece in their collections. This fuzzy wool came in all shapes & silhouettes this season- from the classic sweater to dresses to trim & added a depth & volume that many other types of wool just cannot attain. But be careful when purchasing this trend & make sure garments are lined as mohair can irritate some skin types or cause itchiness to the eyes. If you are part of the lucky few who can pull this off GO FOR IT!
