2009 South Beach Men’s Show Promotes Head-To-Toe Fashion Wardrobe for the Sophisticated, Stylish Man
SoBe Men’s Show Marries High Fashion and Style with America’s Riviera
South Beach, Fla – Building a stylish fashion wardrobe for the discerning modern man is the basis of the 2009 SoBe Men’s Show, scheduled for Saturday, July 18 at the Royal Palm Resort Hotel on Collins Avenue, Miami Beach. The show promises to present an exciting and eclectic mix of the some of the hottest and talented national and international men’s designers, showcasing some of their recent and upcoming collections. SoBe Men’s also brings fresh new faces to the male modeling industry in South Beach, incorporating up-and-coming national and international male models into the show. The evening includes a celebrity-filled, red carpet arrival — South Beach style — networking opportunities for designers with industry buyers and insiders, and other national and international public relations opportunities and exposure.
“Men are really paying more and more attention to style and grooming and they’re ready for a show like this that brings quality, style and good taste together in one place,” said the show’s producer Ian Smith. “We’re so excited to be bringing this show to South Beach because South Beach is synonymous with style, sophistication and fashion.”
Smith is working closely with Founder and Editor of Apollo Male Models Magazine, Apollo GT, to produce the show. The bi-annual magazine is also a media sponsor of the event. The SoBe Men’s Show will feature head-to-toe men’s fashion, including men’s underwear and swimwear; casual wear, sportswear and loungewear; business, formal and evening attire; and urban looks.
One of this year’s feature designers is Mundo Unico, a Colombian-based men’s fashion design company that creates informal clothing, including bath and pool robes, trunks, shirts, boxers and shorts. Mundo Unico will be premiering its upcoming collection Mundo Natural at the SoBe Men’s Show, representing a preview of the first of three collections that Unico will launch throughout 2009.
“Mundo Natural is like nothing ever presented by Unico,” said Olga Lucia of Mundo Unico. “It is wild, adventurous and filled with adrenaline. These pieces were really inspired by the tropics, Amazon jungles and its wildlife and created by Unico designer Nicolas Echeverri,” she added.
“The collection is filled with seductive textures that stimulate the senses, exciting prints that captivate the eyes and new fashion proposals that we are sure will have everybody talking. From waistband imitating reptile skins to prints of nature and the always exceptional construction and fabrics, people will just indulge in comfort. This collection also offers new and fun swimwear that is sure to put a splash in anybody’s summer, and we are thrilled to preview all of this at the SoBe Men’s Show in July.”
Other key media partners and sponsors of the show include Miami Living magazine, Express, 411 and Genre Magazine, the Effingo Group, a marketing and television production company and CCN News by Telemundo. Plans are also in the works to have footage from the show distributed through Fashion TV and Fashion TV Men.
