Lyric Culture Launches Rock n’ Roll Lifestyle Brand at Bloomingdale’s

World’s Greatest Songs Serve as Creative Inspiration for Designs

Los Angeles, CA (May 4, 2009) Lyric Culture, the rock n’ roll lifestyle brand known for its apparel designs inspired by the song lyrics of legendary artists like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Beach Boys, KISS, David Bowie and countless others, today announced it will launch at Bloomingdale’s nationwide mid-May 2009. The collection includes fashion tees and tops as well as hoodies and scarves for men and women.

The line will be visually merchandised in Bloomingdale’s stores in an elaborate vintage style shop within shop featuring Gibson guitars, song lyrics written on the walls and classic album covers of artists including the Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan.

“Bloomingdale’s is thrilled to partner with Lyric Culture and offer our customers a new line of musically inspired, cutting-edge fashions”, said David Fisher, Executive Vice President and GMM of Men’s and Young World.  “As the ultimate shopping destination, Bloomingdale’s is always finding new ways to keep its customers on the cutting edge of fashion, culture and entertainment.”

Lyric Culture supports musicians with a portion of each sale going to songwriters.  Hang tags are concert tickets with song histories detailed on the back.  Many of the products have the lyrics of the entire song written on the inside of the garment so you can wear them close to your heart.

Lyric Culture is also offering several special gift with purchase promotions launching exclusively at Bloomingdale’s, including assorted women’s tank tops with a variety of classic song lyrics (retail value $70) as well as an exclusive iTunes download gift card featuring five Bob Dylan tracks.

“We’ve been blessed with a tremendous responsibility and opportunity to bring the words of the greatest songwriters to life visually on apparel,” said Hanna Rochelle Schmieder, Founder of Lyric Culture. “Bloomingdale’s is an incredible retail partner and shares our vision of supporting music and melding it with premium fashion. We are thrilled to be launching our collection in such a prestigious way across the country,” she continued.
